Spring 2021 Dual Enrollment Information
Dear WCHS Dual Enrollment Families,
We hope this message finds you well.
The Spring 2021 DE registration information has just been released. In order to be guaranteed registration during the dates and times specified by PHSC, students and parents must complete the online terms and conditions, and enter their course requests online by November 4th.
However, prior to completing these steps online, students must first send their Spring 2021 Dual Enrollment Online Registration & Course Request Worksheet to their counselor, via email, for review and approval. Students MUST meet with their counselor to get the DE Worksheet and discuss course selection. While completing this worksheet, please consider PHSC may only be offering courses via online instruction in the Spring 2021 term; so please be sure to choose BOTH "ONLINE AT PHSC" AND "FACE to FACE AT PHSC" as options, unless you absolutely do not want to take the course online. Further, also please make certain you check the "HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS” option for the following courses offered at WCHS:
AMH 2120 (DE US History)
OCE 2011 (DE Oceanography)
ENC 1102 (DE English)
SPN 1121 (DE Beg Spanish 2)
Please carefully review all Spring 2021 registration information contained in the following link and let us know if you have any questions.

PERT Testing Information:
PHSC has opened up virtual PERT registration for DE students. This test option is proctored remotely by PHSC proctors. DE students may register for this option at https://www2.registerblast.com/phsc/Exam/List. However, there are limited spaces available.
PHSC is already offering limited in-person PERT testing for students who cannot access the online options. To meet the demand, they will also expand in-person testing across their campuses following social-distancing guidelines. This expansion will be available until the remote proctoring service is launched. PHSC is working on the logistics for this now and will notify us once students are able to schedule exams using the same link as above
Change of placement request for semester 2
Wesley Chapel High School is already preparing for the second semester that begins on January 6, 2021. In order to properly allocate teachers and resources, we are requiring families to notify the school by November 13 if they want to change their student's educational model for the second semester. Requests received after this date will be placed on a wait list and could be changed if space becomes available.
Only parents/guardians are allowed to complete this form. Student requests will not be processed. One form should be submitted for each student in the household that attends WCHS. If you do not want a change of placement, please do not complete the form.
The school may not be able to process an additional request to change the option in this form after it has been submitted.
Changing your option will result in the student's schedule being adjusted. This includes potential changes to their teachers and/or courses from the first semester.
Families that are requesting to be changed to mySchool Online must have internet access and a device for their student. WCHS no longer has loaner devices for students.
Click here to complete the request.
Families considering online enrollment with Pasco eSchool should visit the Pasco eSchool website to register.
Please contact your student's school counselor if you have any questions.

Prevention Methods for COVID-19
Please support our efforts to keep our students and staff healthy. Screen your student daily using the Student Screener and contact a medical provider for further guidance if your student develops symptoms or you need medical guidance. COVID-19 testing is available in the community. Contact the school nurse (RN) or administrator immediately if your student receives a positive COVID-19 test result.
Prevention measures for COVID-19:
o The best way to prevent illness is by limiting exposure to the virus.
o Maintain proper social distancing (about 6 feet).
o Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
o If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
o Routinely clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
o Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face covering when around others.

Mask Procedures
When to Wear a Cloth Face Covering (Mask)
· The school district requires that all students, visitors, and employees wear a mask or other face covering while on school property and/or engaged in school activities, including outdoors when unable to maintain a distance.
· Transportation
· If you are a car rider, you should apply your face covering when you arrive at school before exiting your car in the parking lot.
· If you are a bus rider you should apply your face covering when you arrive at the bus stop. Face masks will be required on school buses.
When can I remove my Cloth Face Covering (Mask)
· You can remove your face covering when you are outdoors and able to maintain at least a safe distance from others, and at end of the day after you have exited the building.
· You can remove your face covering during meal and snack times. To the extent possible, maintain a 6 ft distance from others when you have your mask off.
· If occupying an office space by yourself, you can also safely remove your mask but should be ready to reapply as soon as others approach you.

Face Masks
Please remind your students to wear a face mask and keep their mouth and nose covered. This is for the protection of your student, other students, and staff members. Our number one goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy.
