Part of My Paper: On Water Conservation
So why is water so significant? Keep in mind that it is not a renewable source that can be reused. Wastewater from showers, toilets, etc. can only be cleaned so much, and even after wouldn’t really be something suitable to drink. Unfortunately, all life on Earth, whether plants, animals, or humans, depends on this limited, non-renewable resource to survive. Some animals like fish and other aquatic life, live in water and would die if their ecosystems disappeared. Others such as frogs and turtles need water to lay eggs and reproduce. Animals who live on land need it to carry out cell activities, keep hydrated, and keep bodily fluids. Plants need enough hydration to carry out photosynthesis to get food and continue to grow and to transport nutrients to different parts. Seaweed and algae absorb the carbon dioxide in water.
