Leadership Message
Smooth Road, Bumpy Road, Potholeā¦
This past week I was reflecting on a childhood game I used to play with my daughters, āSmooth road, smooth road, bumpy road...POTHOLE!" Upon my lap they would sit and I would move to the words and then drop out during the āpotholeā where they would fall, just a little, and I would catch them. Oh, how we would laugh! The moment of the āpotholeā, the sudden but anticipated surprise, followed by the reassuring catch.
Our childās school year often reflects a similar journey as the game described above. Some moments are smooth while others are bumpy, and often, we face those potholes. As I shared at our Meet the Staff evening, these potholes provide opportunities for important lessons, where we find out; we are not alone, we can do hard things, and no matter what we face-we are loved. With the infalible love from God, our families behind us, and our dedicated staff beside them, each child at St. John XXIII will learn and grow from each bumpy road and pothole. Together, we can journey through the terrain with your children, knowing that we Love-First, Last and Always.
Thank you for your continued trust and support as we buckle up for another amazing year of growing in our faith and learning journeys at St. John XXIII!
Blessings,
Mrs. Boehm

SJXXIII Apple Program: Healthy Kids
Thanks to our first Apple Program Sponsor-The McEwen Family! A family whose kids used to attend St. John XXIII and is giving back today. Thank-you so much for your generosity.
At St. John XXIII Catholic School, our Apple Program enhances and supports our school community by providing our students with fresh apples and other fresh seasonal fruit. This program helps support our healthy champions focus for our kids at Saint John XXIII and enhances their daily learning journeys. Currently, we are looking for community monthly sponsors that help us accomplish our goal of providing healthy snacks to students. A financial contribution of $200 will bring fruit to the school for Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 4 students for one month and, most importantly, will help us encourage healthy eating habits in our students. If you wish to contribute, please connect with our coordinator, Laudith, st.johnxxiii.psc@gmail.com. Thanks for your consideration.

Parking, Drop off, Pick ups: Working Together for Safety
- The parking lot next to the school is mostly for staff and our students and /or our families who require handi-cap parking. Please do not park in any of the stalls directly beside our building.
- Please meet your child at their exit door, not at the front door. The front door is where our bus kids line up at the end of the day.
- Visitor parking spaces: We have 10-12 visitor parking stalls (identified with the Visitor parking sign). These spaces are closest to the road. These stalls are available on a first-come, first serve basis. If these spaces are full, please do not come into the parking lot to drop off your child.
- We do not want any students crossing the parking lot. Please use the path alongside the visitor parking spaces or the appropriate crosswalks.
