Kirk Fenton News

6th December 2019

Dear Parents / Carers,

This week we were delighted by our youngest children from Reception and Year 1 who have worked so hard to perform their Nativity play 'Whoops-a-Daisy Angel'. They did a fantastic job narrating, acting singing and playing the instruments and all seemed to enjoy the occasion. What a great start to our Christmas festivities! Well done Acorns, Birch and Willow.

We are finishing the week with our Christmas Fair run by the Friends of Kirk Fenton. As always, I would like to thank them for all their hard work in putting the fair together and thank you for coming to take part. Your contributions make a huge difference to our school and children.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Karen Williams

Head Teacher

Sporting Success

We have introduced a new way of learning P.E. at Kirk Fenton. In addition to developing physical literacy we now focus on teamwork, cognitive development and building resilience.

'I like it because now we do social skills as well.' Eliza

'I like earning teampoints for improving our social skills too!' Sam

'I like that it has the different levels and you can make it as hard as you want.' Daisy

Christmas Performances

As we grow as a school, for safety reasons, we are unfortunately having to limit the number of tickets available to the shows to 2 per family to enable all families to have the opportunity to watch their child/children.

Also, we cannot allow any filming or taking of photographs as we have a number of children who do not have permission for this. There will be the opportunity after performances to take photos of your own children.

Thank you for your understanding.

Christmas Dinner - Thursday 19th December

This year our kitchen ladies will be serving up their delicious traditional Christmas Dinner (vegetarian option available) on Thursday 19th December.

It is free for Early Years and KS1 and only £2.30 for KS2 (payable on ParentPay school meals).

KS2 - there will not be a jacket potato option on this day.
