Happy Birthday Jesus! Happy New Year 2016!

January's Seedlings Focus statement...

This month our children are learning about the word Self-Control..."I can do the right thing."

  • "I" - We can think about the environment around us and think about how we should act. We are in charge of our behavior and our actions.
  • "can do"- We all make mistakes, but we can learn from our mistakes and choose to do the right thing at the next opportunity .
  • "the right thing."- Our actions affect those around us. We can make good choices and do the right thing.

Learning about Jesus during the month of January!

Our theme in January is: Jesus Helps and Heals Us. We will learn about Jesus as a boy wanting to learn in the temple to him becoming an adult HEALING and HELPING others. He is our AMAZING healer and helper each and every day!

Offering Boxes have been sent home to collect for the Lutheran Hour project that we are partnering with this month. During Lutheran Schools' Week at the end of the month, we will take a virtual field trip to Guatemala and learn about the mission work there. Please have your child fill the OFFERING BOX and bring them back the last week of January for chapel. This is a great way for our preschoolers to share the gospel in Guatamala and learn how to give to others.

Thrive: Moving Forward in Faith!

Each Wednesday night we invite you to come and grow in God's Word with us. We have many adult classes and classes for preschool through middle schoolers. Classes are from 6:00 pm til 7:30 pm with a staffed nursery too.

A class that Mrs. Price (our first grade teacher) and I are teaching is entitled, Parenting Made Fun: Creating Happy Families and Responsible Kids. It is a parenting class combining Love and Logic and Discipline with Love with interactive opportunities during the class. There is no cost and everyone is welcome to join us!
