St. Michael School

A New School Year

Although the 2020-2021 school year still holds some uncertainties, we are planning to return to school with students and staff in the building. We are planning for class sizes in which we can social distance students in addition to making changes to the lunch room, arrival and dismissal, and cleaning procedures.

Our preschool-8th grade teachers and administrators are all working this summer to complete the level 1 Google Certification for Educators course which will allow us to better utilize google apps and classrooms in a typical school setting plus benefit us if we need to go back to remote instruction for any length of time.

We will be posting class lists a week earlier than normal, on Friday, August 14 at 4:00 pm. This will allow all families to then attend Meet the Teacher virtually during the week leading up to Ice Cream Social on Sunday, August 23rd. Each staff member will have their link on the school website allowing you to watch their video and learn about their classroom.

We are still waiting on the final suggested and mandatory procedures from the State to be able to publish all the changes we will make. As soon as we are able to release these changes to the school community we will do so!

Thank you and have a blessed summer,

Mrs. Amy Holzwart

Registrations for next year must be in by Wednesday, June 17 at 1:00 pm. If you are not registered you may lose out on a spot and/or not be able to start the year with transportation. We will be sending each district a transportation list this week. It is even more important this year than ever for the districts to be able to know how many students will need transported.

June 15-19 will be our last official week for the school office to be open until August. We are here from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. We will continue to check voicemails and emails through the week and respond as soon as possible.
