Principal's Message

Welcome to February, the "Shortest Month of the Year!" February is known, to some, as the month of love but it's also a time when magical learning takes place in the classroom. A time when our students begin to hit their stride and all our hard work starts paying off. Each and every educator, in partnership with our families, continue to make a difference in the lives of our students and we are all starting to see the fruits of our labor.

This week begins the 1st week of Black History Month. National Black History Month serves as both a celebration and a powerful reminder that Black history is American history!

Why Is It Important To Practice The ELPAC and CAASPP

Start The Day Off Right!

Bard families, please ensure that our students arrive on campus no later than 7:55 am. Arriving on time allows students to walk to their line and be ready to learn. Students should be in their seats by 8:00 am—students arriving after 8:02 are marked tardy.

Student Safety 1st During Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Please support our effort in keeping our students safe by respecting our bus zone and rear parking lot.

When picking up and dropping off your students at school, ideally, we would ask that you park on a side street or in the school parking lot and walk your student to a school entrance.

Rear Parking Lot: If you drop off or pick up students at the side gate of the rear parking lot, please stay to the right, nearest the yellow line at the fence. Staying to the right will allow other vehicles to exit around those vehicles still waiting for their student(s).

Jerry Drive and Lillian Drive Gates: There are two gates at the rear of the Bard playground which are available for student pick-up or drop-off. The gates at the Jerry Drive and Lillian Drive cul de sacs are staffed during pick-up and drop-off times and are significantly less crowded. The Jerry Drive and Lillian Drive gates are excellent pick-up and drop-off area alternatives.

IT IS NOT SAFE AND ILLEGAL TO PARKING ON PLEASANT VALLEY RD DIRECTORY OUTSIDE THE KINDER CLASSROOMS. There is plenty of parking in the school parking lot and much safer.

Thank you for your cooperation!
