- Discovery Education Puzzlemaker- Create fun puzzles that allow your students to review academic vocabulary, characters in a novel, etc.
- Quizlet- Create your own sets or search for sets of vocabulary word flashcards. Students can join your class to see your sets, and they can create their own sets of flashcards using text, audio, and images.
- TED-Ed- Awesome videos to engage your students. Use videos to create customized lessons.
- Education World- K-12 education resources, lessons, and news
- Padlet- This is like an online bulletin board. Students can post on the board for discussions, collaboration, and formative assessments.
- Wonderopolis- "Wonderopolis offers multidisciplinary daily content through a Wonder of the Day®, containing a curious question, written text, vocabulary words, graphic images..."
- Lead4Ward- This is a link to their instructional strategies playlist. It has printable organizers and directions for teachers.
Discovery Education Announces New Virtual Events for Students- This link takes you to the Free Technology for Teachers blog. From there you can see links to the virtual events.
- Pixel Press Floors- Students draw their own video game!!
- MindShift- This link takes you to an article that has links to 30 apps.
- Random Name Picker- Click the wheel to choose a student.

- NoRedInk- Students practice grammar and editing with personalized sentences (free for elementary and secondary has the premium version). Secondary ELAR teachers, if you need help getting started, contact Mary Heryford.
- NewsEla- Free leveled news, primary sources, and more, with standards-aligned formative assessments.
- Best ELAR Practices- This is a link to Greece Central ISD's site that has a ton of ideas to engage English students.
- Reading A-Z- Reading program with downloadable books for science, social studies, and reading.

Color Overlay for Chromebooks
Students can choose any color to use when reading on their Chromebooks.
Read and Write
• Hear words, passages, or whole documents read aloud with easy-to-follow dual color highlighting • See the meaning of words explained with text and picture dictionaries • Hear text translated into other languages • Get suggestions for the current or next word as you type • Turn words into text as you speak • Highlight text in documents or the web and collect for use in other documents • Create and listen to voice notes directly inside of Google Docs • Simplify and summarize text on web pages
These tools have been added to Chromebooks:
SpeakIt! - TTS for highlighted text (free Chrome extension). Highlight the text you want read and hit play.
Reading Ruler - free Chrome extension; highlights line of text while manually reading; use arrow keys to move
Students will see new icons at the top right of their screen for these two extensions.

Color Overlay for Chromebooks
Aware/Eduphoria: Test is not in "Test Available"
- MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE CREATED A NEW TEST FOR THIS YEAR. Do not just open a test and try to use it.
- Print answer sheets to activate the test.
- Check to make sure the date is correct (administration tab).
- Make sure you have hit the green triangle at the top right to activate the test.
- Under the students tab, click "selected teachers for printing" then check your name.
