Lee County, TX, closely mirrors the racial, ethnic makeup of the U.S. According to a census in 2010, there were 15,657 people living there, 25 people per square mile. There were 76.59% whites, 12.08% blacks, and 11.33% were other races. Inside Lee county is the city, Giddings, TX. The county is named after Robert E. Lee, the commander of the conferderate army of Northern Virginia.
