Manitou Springs High School
Mustang News - November 12th, 2021
From The Principal...
This week we had the honor of celebrating our staff members who have served or are currently serving for branches of the United States Military. The Manitou Springs High School Veteran's Day Assembly brought our student body together to learn about the service given and sacrifices made by some of their very own teachers.
This gathering of our Mustang family was the perfect segue into the NHS sponsored Staff vs. Student Basketball game on Thursday evening. The game had two purposes: 1) to bring together staff and students for a night of fun and 2) to raise money for The Place, a Colorado Springs organization that provides services for runaway youth and youth experiencing homelessness. Both goals were accomplished!
Next week, we head into our annual Kindness Week. I look forward to sharing more about what MSHS students accomplish during that time in our next newsletter.

Staff vs. Student Basketball Game
The staff, led by Coach Stu Jeck (18pts) took home the win (38-20 ) over the students, led by senior Aaron Clune (10pts).
This event was a positive, relationship building experience that students hope will happen again soon.
NHS would like to thank all of the volunteers that made this night possible.
You helped us to raise $441 for The Place!
