Hoop for Heart
8th Grade HS Registration Make-up Meeting
A Make-up session for 8th graders to complete high school registration will be held on Wednesday, March 8th at 3:20 PM in Brown Hall, room 265. Attendance by both the student and a parent/guardian is preferred but not required. Registration for 9th grade will be completed and Pre-ACT scores will be distributed.
HS Registration: 9th-11th Graders Due in Power School by 3/7/23
High school registration for students 9-11 for SY 23-24 is due in PowerSchool no later than 3/7. Students received all registration information in class sessions and make up sessions and all have access to it within their CANVAS announcements. Students can pair their parent/guardian as an observer by opening CANVAS, choosing "account", then "settings" from the menu, then clicking "pair with observer" in the top right hand corner. PowerSchool must be accessed via the website, not the app. Either the student or parent account can be used to register. Information about a password reset can be found in the student's CANVAS announcements. Dual enrollment paperwork is included in the accounts of students in grades 10-11. Forms should be completed thoroughly (class name, all numbers, time, days of the week, and all signatures) and uploaded to the CANVAS assignment--not emailed. For ETSU dual enrollment, some classes are not yet listed. If the class you hope to take has not been listed by 3/8, please include as much information as you have and submit your form anyway. Questions, concerns, and corrections can be emailed to Dr. Shaw at shawa@etsu.edu. All individual appointments with Dr. Shaw are currently filled, but students may keep checking the sign up link in CANVAS for cancellations. The PowerSchool portal is designed to meet the needs of the majority of students in a grade level. We know there will be some students with exceptions to the choices. Please make the closest choice possible in order to submit, and email corrections to Dr. Shaw. We are eager to get a submission from all students for preliminary class numbers before we begin spring break, please know that changes can still be made after break. Dr. Shaw and Dr. Day can override and change schedules even after the portal closes. Thank you!

Yearbook Orders Due by April 14th
It is time to start ordering the 2022/2023 yearbooks. Our yearbook company has changed and we are now working with Entourage Yearbooks. The good news is that there is a price reduction for the high school book but an increase for the elementary/middle school. These costs do not include personalization which is an additional charge.
There are two ways you can order your child’s yearbook.
You may order online at https://www.entourageyearbooks.com .
Once on the website, click on “Buy Yearbook/Ad”. You will be prompted to identify the school, city, and state. You will have a choice for University School (elementary/middle) or University High School and then purchase yearbook link. If you want your book personalized, you will be given that option as well.
The price for ordering is $35 for the high school yearbook and $30.00 for elementary/middle school yearbook. If you choose to include personalization that will be an additional $6.95 charge.
The second way you can order is to submit your order through the school. Just return the attached form with a check made out to University School to either your child’s teacher or to the office. Please make sure the form is completed.
The deadline to order is April 14, 2023.
In addition, we are looking for any pictures of vacations, pets, outings, ballgames, or activities that your child has participated in this school year. If you would not mind sharing your pictures, please send them to school with your child, or email them to me at hammondse@etsu.edu.
You may also upload your pictures directly to the yearbook website. When you are on the website you can click on the button to upload photos. It will take you to the site to upload. You will have a choice as to what file you wish upload your photos.
Thank you for your help and if you have any questions or problems, please email me at hammondse@etsu.edu.
