PK 4.3 - Weekly Newsletter
First of all, we would like to thank those who attended Curriculum Night!!! It is always a pleasure to support you and your children through their learning process and it was fun sharing with you the way we use the Interest Areas to intentionally teach and help children progress in the different areas of their development.
Establishing rules and routines it is not an easy task! It requires a lot of effort and reinforcement and that is what we have been up to this week in order to maintain safety and a sense of grounding to have a successful year.
Preschoolers find comfort and security in the repetition of routines. Having a routine that the children follow helps them feel that they have control over their environment and helps them anticipate events.
This is an essential part of our curriculum, which is the reason we deliver it from the very beginning. Our rules denote a positive language (be safe, be nice, etc.) and we encourage you to try that at home as well! For more information and tips, check out the following article on positive guidance.
We hope all the resources we shared during Curriculum Night and through the article, are beneficial for you. This year we will be a team and we look forward to support you and your children become the best version of themselves!
