Parent Collaborative Community

We had a good meeting on Tuesday, thanks to those that could make it! The architects from Architecture 118 were on hand to visit about the building project and to gather ideas on how to promote our project to our community. The consensus was to hold three forums. The first will be at the Open House on September 28. The second will be a Wacky Wednesday Dinner on Wednesday, October 6, and the third is a Town Hall informational meeting on October 19. The first event is for our school families while the other two will focus on all the residents in our district. This is where we need the help from EVERYONE - we need to spread the word to all the folks that vote in our school district, your neighbors. Please take a minute to visit with those that you know and promote our bond project. We don't just WANT a new building, we NEED to replace the annex. More on that at the Open House...

The parents also reported about the beginning of the year. Some of the highlights seem to be the Hot Lunch program, the new staff, students are happy to all be together in the "big" building, parents are happy to be back on campus and in the school, and the After School Program running again are all positive things. Parents also expressed a desire to do more to help individual teachers.

The PCC will meet again on October 12 at 2:30, please consider attending!

Thanks, Mrs. Burke

Bears Boys Basketball 2021 Season

PIR DAY - No School on October 21st & 22nd

Pack an extra mask

We have seen this week that it is a good idea to pack an extra mask for your student in a zip lock bag in their backpack. Then they can switch out during the day for a fresh mask as some are wet 1/2 through the day.

Communication from the Bozeman School District

The Superintendent's Advisory Council (SAC) provides the Superintendent with information and counsel that will assist in recognizing and addressing the important issues facing our District. The meetings routinely involve discussions of issues, sharing of information and, most importantly, input from you. The main purpose of these meetings is an exchange of information and ideas. These discussions may result, however, in efforts to gather additional information or address a specific concern.

Known as the Super-PAC, this committee brings together PAC members from all BSD7 schools as well as Anderson, Gallatin Gateway and Monforton school districts.

The first meeting is Friday, October 8 at 12:00 PM and will be held using Zoom. Future meeting dates are listed below.

December 10 - 12:00-1:00

February 11 - 12:00-1:00

April 15 - 12:00-1:00

May 27 - 12:00-1:00

BSD7 Parents,

The Bozeman School District Board of Trustees requests your input on the qualities and characteristics you would like to see in our next Superintendent of Schools.

We are working with Ray and Associates to gather community feedback. Ray and Associates will host a Bozeman Parent Zoom meeting on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. This zoom meeting is limited to 25 participants. Sign up will be on a first come, first selected basis. If you are interested and able to attend one of these feedback sessions, please complete this form to sign up.

If you are one of the first 25 to sign up for either session, you will receive a zoom link in order to attend the meeting.

Thank you for your participation in our Superintendent search process.

Here is the link to the zoom meeting sign up.

Reminder that if you are not able to attend one of these zoom sessions the Board of Trustees is taking input through Community Survey. You may access this community survey below. The surveys are set to close at 8:00 a.m. MT on Monday, October 18.

Note, the surveys are set up to allow only one response per device.

Emergency Lunch

Emergency Lunch - Parents just a reminder to be sure and ask your child(ren) if they have an emergency lunch. I know a few students have already eaten theirs this week.

Student Reminders

Please have students dress in layers and bring a jacket for the unpredictable fall weather.

Students are encouraged to have sunscreen in lockers to apply for outdoor PE and recess. Students should have at least one emergency lunch item in their locker.
