Dear Tiger Parents & Students,

We are excited and eager to begin our 2020-2021 school year!! As most of you are aware, instruction and school will look slightly different this year.

Please see our SHS website for senior portrait dates and times as well as links to our new bell schedule, handbooks, dress code, and important dates.

If you chose in-person, please know there will be some changes to the school day. The safety and well being of our students and staff is our first priority. Procedures will be in place to address sanitization, social distancing, and attention to state and federal guidelines. High School students must wear a mask or a face covering when entering the building, during passing periods, in classrooms, in the restrooms, on the way to lunch, during dismissal and in all other areas where social distancing is not an option. Our doors will open at 7:25am each day. All students will report to first period upon arrival to school. Students may purchase a “grab and go” breakfast which they will eat in their first period classroom. There will be no cafeteria seating in the morning or gathering in the hallways before the bell rings. The tardy bell will ring at 7:45am and first period will begin.

If you chose remote instruction, please know that it will look very different than it did last spring. You will be expected to be in attendance and engaged for all seven courses that you will be scheduled for each day. Each teacher will have their own Google Classroom in which you will be responsible for watching instructional videos, connecting with your online teacher, and submitting assignments daily. Uploaded assignments will also require more technology than just a phone. We recommend that each student enrolled in online instruction have his/her own device and ample internet access to upload videos. Some courses may require students to login synchronously as the instruction occurs. Finally, whether you chose remote or on-campus instruction, you will be required to choose that option for the entire nine weeks. We want to keep your learning as continuous and uninterrupted as possible.

No matter how different it is, we’re going to get through this together. We can’t wait to get back to learning, whatever that may look like, and that this year will be one we won’t forget, hopefully for great reasons!

Arrival & Dismissal Information:


  • Doors open at 7:25 am

  • All students will report to 1st period as they enter the building.

  • Students may enter the cafeteria upon arrival for “grab and go” breakfast, but must eaten in first period; there will be no cafeteria seating in the morning.

  • Students in classrooms upstairs dismiss at 3:15
