MWES News- November Edition
Encouraging Excellence in our Panther Cub Community
Greetings from Ms. Colon
I cannot believe we finished wrapping up the 1st quarter. Our students have made great gains and we are excited to celebrate alongside them. As we embark into a season of Thanksgiving, I would like to take the opportunity to expresses my gratitude towards our Panther Cub Community. Our students have access to so many opportunities and resources, and it is all because you are always committed to make our school a better place for them. From loyal volunteers, to donated supplies, and amazing partnerships; I must say that we have many reasons to be thankful for every day.
This month brings many opportunities to stay engaged in your student's education. Parent teacher conferences are coming soon and provide a forum to partner with your child's teacher. Do not hesitate to ask questions and request assistance. We are here to help you!

Student illness
To prevent the spread of disease and to protect your student, please keep your student home and/or make an appointment with your health care provider for the following symptoms:
- temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher
- vomiting
- diarrhea
- severe sore throat, headache, or cough
- eyes with inflammation, redness, and watery or purulent drainage
- undiagnosed and/or untreated skin rash
- communicable disease
If a student becomes ill during school, the parent/guardian of the student must be contacted before a student is allowed to leave the building. It is important to provide your student's school with updated contact numbers so parents/guardians may be reached concerning illness, as well as emergencies.
