Fall Book Fair
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. Hosted by our staff, this
event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their
love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place October 11-14 in the library.
We will be open from 3:40-4:00, Monday and Tuesday, 4:30-8:30 on Wednesday and 11:00-7:00 on Thursday.
Our Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. It’s a convenient digital
account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair. Grandparents, friends, and
others can contribute, too! We also accept cards and cash.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop online at our school’s Virtual Book Fair. All
orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.
Visit our Book Fair home page to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping:

We’re excited to celebrate our love of books together at the Book Fair. We look forward to
seeing your child there!
Happy reading!

Computer Lab Learning
We start off in first quarter with the following per grade level:
K – We learn all about the mouse. How to hold it, move it, click it, and click and drag. It is so much fun!!
1-2 – We remember how to log on with our username and password. We jump right into Microsoft Word and type words and sentences and learn to make “fancy”. Fancy is changing characters to different sizes, colors, and fonts. We learn Bold, Underline, Ribbon, Tabs, and commands. Amazing!
3-5 – Create new passwords and change by conference time. Review Microsoft Word and then begin a project in Word. Paragraph writing, inserting multiply pictures and layering those pictures. We learn Office 365 and saving in OneDrive. Awesome job!!
2-5 - All students continue proper hand placement in keyboarding!
