MESSAGE FROM THE PTO
Last week, we lost one of our own. Kavi Gray was a bright and vibrant 4th grader at Robinwood Elementary. He had a big personality, was easy to love and an important part of our community. He will be missed by many friends, classmates and staff.
To honor Kavi and all that he was, two of his close friends and classmates designed a shirt as a tribute to the Kavster! The design includes some special touches that were important to Kavi. Please consider purchasing a shirt ($20) to help the cause. All proceeds from this sale will go directly to the Gray family.
We will also be partnering with another fundraiser for the family and will be selling bracelets before school. (Wednesday-Friday) Each bracelet is $5 see above picture.
Please reach out to Robinwood PTO on Messenger or at rwk6pto@gmail.com if you have any questions.
Shine bright like the star ️ that you are, Kavi! You are missed. #KindnessForKavi

This Valentine’s Day we invite you to surprise a Franklin Public School teacher or special staff member with a personally delivered Valentine greeting! Just let us know by completing this form who you wish to honor, and our volunteers will take care of the rest.
Remember, if you would like to recognize a staff member but are not sure of names, use the FPS staff directory to find those favorite administrative assistants and aides, custodial staff or special teachers in addition to your student's homeroom teachers.
Orders are due by February 6th. Your valentines will be delivered to the FPS school or ECC building on Thursday, February 14, 2022.
COVID-19 UPDATES
ON-SITE TESTING
As we shared in the District Newsletter on Friday (here), we have started offering an On-site COVID-19 Testing center at the ECC District Office on weekdays from 7am to 3pm for students, staff, and family/household members of positive student or staff cases or anyone deemed a close contact.
If you are contacted by our main office at the school that your child is symptomatic and needs to be picked up or released from school, you now have the opportunity between 7am to 3pm to take your child to the ECC District Office for COVID-19 testing. HIGH SCHOOL ONLY - We will continue to have On-Site Testing at Franklin High School during weekdays from 7am to 3pm for high school students through our health office located there.
Please review this document for other details and questions you may have about how this will work. Testing is another mitigation strategy to help us reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our schools.
BILLY SIMS FUNDRAISER
Please join us for our very first Billy Sims Fundraiser on February 8th!
Billy Sims BBQ is located at 7358 W Rawson Ave.
10% of proceeds from the entire day will go towards supporting Robinwood!
K-5 SPRING CONCERT UPDATES - MARK AND ADJUST YOUR CALENDARS
Parents - we originally had some K-5 music events slotted on the calendar coming up at the end of January and the beginning of February. We have been reviewing our offerings for the music program and working with Saber Center availability to adjust these events. Moving into the spring, we will be offering concert events for grades 1, 3, and 5 at the Saber Center this year. By offering this event, we hope to present a larger scope for families so they can experience the progress and growth across the grade levels. Therefore, grades K, 2, and 4 will not have a spring concert event this year.
Please mark your calendars for the following event later this spring:
RW Monday, April 25 Grades 1, 3, 5 @ 6:30 pm at the Saber Center

ROBINWOOD SNOW BAGS AVAILABLE
MASK REMINDERS
As we continue to require masks for students, please remember the following:
It’s a good idea to wash your child’s mask frequently, ideally daily if possible.
Please ensure that your child has a few masks to rotate throughout the average school week
Please send an extra mask in your child’s backpack in the event they need another mask
When choosing masks for your child, please look for masks that have 2 or more layers of breathable fabric, cover their nose and mouth, fit snugly across the sides of their face, and don’t have gaps.
If you need help with getting additional masks, please contact the school’s main office.
