NEWSLETTER | TERM 1 | WEEK 8 | 24 MARCH 2022
Harmony Week Prayer:
O’ God You create all people in your image.
We thank you for the astonishing variety of races and cultures in this world.
Enrich our lives by ever widening circles of friendship and show us your presence in those who differ most from us, until our knowledge of your love is made perfect in our love for all your children;
Through your son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
From the Principal
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are fast approaching the end of term and I sincerely hope that there is some reprieve for the school and families when we return after the school holidays. Many thanks to everyone for your support with Covid -19. Unfortunately, this week we have had number of staff who have had to go into isolation due to being close contacts. However, staff have continued to provide classroom face-to-face teaching and remote learning to the students who are in isolation. Many thanks to the staff for their work in providing remote learning to students who are isolating and teaching a class at the same time.
Please take time to touch base with teachers with parent / teacher conferences. It is important that families are aware of how their child is performing in class before reports are sent home at the end of Term 2.
I am advising that we have advertised for a Canteen Manager twice and have not had any applicants. At this stage the canteen may not be operational in Term 2. I am looking at all possibilities to avoid this happening.
We welcome Miss Shona Simpson to our staff as our new School Councillor. Shona will be working with students from next week. Her work days will be Wednesday to Friday inclusive.
Please note that I am away today and Friday.
There will be a P&F Meeting online Tuesday March 29 at 7:00pm.
A reminder, students will finish this term on Friday April 8. School will resume on Wednesday April 27.
God Bless and keep safe.

Covid-19: When to send your child to school
Parent-Teacher Interviews
We trust this opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher has been beneficial and integral to our reporting for Term 1.
Seeking a Canteen Manager and School Grounds Worker
We are also seeking a School Grounds Worker to prepare the school each morning, from 7 am to 9 am. Again, we welcome your assistance in spreading the word.
Edu-Dance student performances and costumes
The Edu-dance Concert will take place on Wednesday 6 April for all PP – Year 6 classes (Week 10). Parents are not able to attend this year so all class performances will be filmed and made available to parents.
Students are asked to bring the below Edu-dance costumes with them to school on Wednesday 6 April. Students will change into their costumes prior to their performance and then change back into their school uniform following the dance. Students are also welcome to bring their costume to their Week 9 Edu-dance lesson to participate in a dress rehearsal. Please ensure students wear their joggers/sports shoes, with hair to be tied up unless otherwise stated.

Project Compassion 2022
Project Compassion has launched for 2022.
Students have looked at the work Caritas Australia has done throughout the world and the positive impact it has had on many lives. All students in PP-Y6 have been provided with a Project Compassion box and we ask that you generously donate this Lent.
The theme for this year is For Future Generations.
Check out the below real-world story of Project Compassion in action, highlighting how our generosity can assist others.
