AP Calculus AB with Mrs. Atkins

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

All grades in have been updated as of 9:00 pm on September 17, 2013. If you submitted an assignment after that time, it may not be graded yet. Students, please check your grades by logging into your course and clicking on Assessments and then Grades. Parents/Guardians, please check your student's grades by logging into your parent account. For more information about the parent account, please refer to the Welcome to AP Calculus AB email or the GAVS helpdesk. If you have any trouble viewing grades or have any questions about grades, please contact me!

GaVS Policy - Upcoming Fall Breaks

  • Students should stay on the GaVS schedule that they chose upon entering their course. Even if the local school breaks do not coincide with the GaVS schedule, students must meet the assignment due dates.
  • Students, if your school has a fall break, please let your teacher know as soon as possible. If you do not want to work during your break, you will need to work ahead so that you do not miss any due dates.

Reminders for Students

  • Remember to check your email and read the news items within the course daily.
  • Remember to print and follow your course schedule. Please do not wait until the day before the bi-weekly due date to begin your work!
  • Remember to show your work on everything that you submit for this class, including your quizzes and tests.

Viewing Feedback on Quizzes/Tests

Students, please make sure that you view the feedback for every graded quiz and test and read the feedback for every problem that you missed. To see how to view feedback, please watch the video at the following link:

Please make sure that you click on the "View Feedback" link under each question that you missed.

Missing/Late Work

Any assignments that were not completed by the bi-weekly due date of September 13 have been given a score of 0. Please complete any missing assignments as soon as possible for partial credit. Work turned in after the deadline on the course schedule will be accepted within 5 school days with a late penalty assessed. The late penalty begins on Saturday and is deducted at a rate of 10% of the assignment value per school day.

Please remember that our Synchronous Learning Sessions (SLS) via Adobe Connect are scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays. Please refer to the Course Information Widget and the News within your course for the exact times and specific topics.
