Pumpkin Project Examples
This year we are taking more of a family focused approach to homework. We believe that spending quality family time is vital in the success of your student. We will provide family friendly, engaging homework activities and assignments. We would love if you would send us pictures of these activities and share them with us.
This weeks Family focus: Work on the Pumpkin Project paper that is due this Friday. Start brainstorming ideas for decorating your pumpkin.
2nd Grade Adventures
In order to promote high attendance, we will be spelling out the word ATTENDANCE. Each day that our class has 100% attendance a letter will be added. When the whole word is spelled out, we will celebrate. We will also have a school wide prize for the grade level with the highest attendance. Please help us reach our goal in 2nd grade!
TOUCHDOWN 2nd Grade! In 2nd grade we transformed our rooms and incorporated several football review activities.
ELAR: This week we will focus on Narrative Non-fiction stories; making and confirming predictions and generating questions before, during and after reading. We will also practice using adjectives.
Math: Students will solve one and multi-step addition and subtraction problems.
Science: We will observe and identify how magnets are used in everyday life.
Social Studies: Students will identify events from the past, present and future.
