Student Council in Action: Thanksgiving Food Drive

We are very proud of the work our student council members are doing. We ask that you please consider donating whatever you can. All donations will be given to the Inter-Faith Food Pantry of Morris County. Please send all donations by 11/25. Thank you for supporting them as they are committed to helping their community.

Staff Spotlight: Meet Art Teacher: Mrs. Brown

Where are you from? Where did you grow up?

Born in Houston, Texas; Grew up in Rickmansworth, England and Morris County, NJ


What does your education journey look like?

I went to Trenton State College for Art Education and got my masters in education through Marygrove. I got a teaching job in Morristown right after graduation and have been here ever since!

I continue to learn every day from my family, my students, friends, workshops and the world around me.


What is your favorite thing about working at AH?

I love the kids!


When you are not working how do you spend your free time?

Karate, running, hiking, skiing, making art, and being a wife and mom of three (dance mom, soccer coach, marching band parent helper, ski patrol etc…!), taking care of our dog, 2 cats, 4 gerbils and 2 fishtanks!


What is 1 item on your bucket list?

To travel the world!


What would your superpower be?

I can make the world a more beautiful place.

My kids tell me that I have super mom powers!


What is a fun fact about you?

I am a 6th degree black belt in Isshinryu Karate. I won three national championship rings in college for lacrosse and competed in the final four for field hockey. I grew up without a television. I ran a half marathon on the trails in the snow!

3. Picture retakes are on Friday for new students and/or those that were absent on picture day.
