Kindergarten "Can You Read..." Challenge

Students are challenged to read a variety of books in a variety of different places.

1st Grade "Bounty of Books" Challenge

Students are challenged to read and discuss books out loud with a range of people.

2nd-5th Grade "Reading Without Walls" Challenge

Students sometimes "put up walls" by reading the same type of materials over and over. With this activity, they are challenged to break out of their comfort zone and try new material. Print of the sheet below and record the titles of the book you read for each of the three tasks and write a short statement about how the book helped you expand your horizons. Check out the video below to learn more about the national "Reading Without Walls" program, created by the Children's Book Council.
