Be WONDER-filled
You can help at home too:
- Start a "wonder" journal where members of the family write things they wonder about. As a family choose one or two wonderings a week to explore and learn more about.
- When kids ask questions, resist the urge to answer and instead, consider responding with a reflective question like "What made you wonder about that?", "How could you find out more about that?", "What do you think might help you learn more about that?".
- Share with your kids some of the things you wondered about as a child and things you still wondering about as an adult.
Next time you come to school, check out our Wonder Wall - located on the glass wall of the front office. Our kids have some amazing (and some funny) wonderings!
PTA HAPPENINGS
We hope your 1st-5th grade kids came home sharing the excitement/fun of the Kids Science Safari - it was a HUGE hit!
We have Inspector Iwannano lined up next and we know the kids will love it as well.
Plans are in the works for our Santa Snowy Social - be watching for opportunities to volunteer!
Join us Tuesday, November 17th at 5:30 for our next PTA Meeting
Attendance last week was 97.11%
Did you know that 2 missed days a month can add up to a child being a half a year behind by the time they reach 4th grade?
Being at school matters!
Counselor's Corner
Our campus food drive that benefits some of our Reed students continues. Students set a goal of 3,047 items. Currently 747 items have been donated. Way to go Reed Roadrunners! Keep those donations coming!
We are also collecting coats! If you plan to clean out your coat closet soon and realize that your children have outgrown their coats, please donate them. Kids Helping Kids Coat collection and distribution has started. The Damascus Road Christian Church collects coats and will distribute them on November 21 to children that live in Williamson County.

The Leader in Me
As a Leader in Me school, we are working to teach the kids Stephen Covey's 7 Habits. We will share one habit each week to help parents reinforce these at home.
discussions can focus on :
- taking care of themselves
- taking care of their things
- reacting or not reacting to other's behavior
- planning ahead
- thinking about what the right thing to do is.
Take some time with your kids to brainstorm ways to Be Proactive at home!
Great books to reinforce this habit is: The Little Engine That Could by Watty Piper and Amazing Grace by Mary Hoffman
