A letter from our Foundation President
Dear BCSSSD Community,
I wanted to let everyone know that we just finished our 18th annual Foundation Golf Outing, which generates a large portion of our funds raised each year for the students. I am extremely happy with the turnout of golfers, sponsors, and the many donations of prizes and giveaways. We had the most golfers we’ve ever had, which shows the commitment and growth of the companies and individuals who want to give back to our children with special needs.
I would like to thank all of our sponsors, golfers, prize donators, and the volunteers who set up the course, luncheon, and prizes, and sat at each hole. I would like to say a “special thanks” to the golf committee for all of their hard work, going “above and beyond” to make the event another success. The committee members--Josephine Mercantini-Bocci, Theresa Margiotta, Desiree Carter, and our Foundation Vice President, Paula Lynch--worked for months to organize the event. Thank you for all of your dedication and efforts! I received a lot of positive feedback on the event this year, and that is a direct reflection on the volunteers, the Golf Committee, and to the Medford Lakes Country Club for their hospitality.
A thank you also has to go out to the Pellegrino Auto Group for again sponsoring hole in one contests, one of which included a lease on a new Buick Encore. They have been a true partner of the Foundation; we appreciate their commitment and support.
Congratulations to our top 3 foursomes!
First Place – AmeriHealth New Jersey & Innovative Risk Solutions, Inc.
Second Place – Terra Associates
Third Place – Pro Day
Finally, as some of you may be aware, I am also a parent of a student at the school. I can tell you firsthand how much it means to me that my daughter is not only surrounded by amazing people all day at school, but that the Educational Foundation is able to give back to help meet each child’s unique needs and assist students in growing. All of the funds raised at the event go directly back to the students of the Burlington County Special Services School District for items such as respite days for parents throughout the year, specialized equipment and enhanced technology for the students, and other items for educational enrichment.
Thank you again for all of your support and generosity.
