Week 16 - December 11-15, 2017
English Language Arts
This week’s reading will be Who's That Knocking on Christmas Eve. Throughout reading we will search for text and picture clues to answer important questions. Our grammar focus will be prepositions. Prepositions are used to add meaning to a sentence. For example, “She sat across from the trees,” or “He sat next to the pond.”
Spelling:
This week's spelling words all end with the /k/ sound. This
sound can be spelled three different ways:
• with the letter k, as in creek
• with the letter c, as in attic
• with the letters ck, as in truck
