2020-2021 School Update
July 23, 2020
With the start of the school year approaching, I'm certain many of you have questions on how school will look for your children this year. Please know that Friedens' faculty and staff have been working diligently all summer to prepare for the arrival of your children. Many hours of hard work have gone into making 2020-2021 the best we can in this time of uncertainty.
When uncertainty does arise, we look to God's Word to give us strength and guidance. May we turn to our Lord for our strength and confidence:
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged; for the Lord, your God will be with you wherever you go." -Joshua 1:9
"The Lord himself will go ahead of you. He will be with you. He will not abandon you, and he will not forsake you. Do not be afraid, and do not be overwhelmed." -Deuteronomy 31:8
In this newsletter, we have the school supply lists and an update on the re-opening plan. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Yours in Christ,
This school year, the supply list has two columns. The first column includes items that students should have at home if Friedens would need to hold classes virtually due to a county wide shut-down, or in the event, a grade would need to be quarantined. The second column is a list of items to be brought to school. One item not stated on the list, that all students will need to have, will be masks. Each student should have at least two masks at school. Friedens is also in the process of getting additional masks for each student as well.
2020-2021 School Re-Opening Plan
Many parents have asked when Friedens will be sending out their reopening plan. The plan is currently being finalized after seeking advice from local health officials and using CDC guidelines. The faculty and the Board of Christian Education are finalizing the plan and will be sent to families early next week.
