Paw Print Press 2.0 2022 is a Wrap!
December 16, 2022
Hello Wolf Pack Families,
I hope you all had a great long weekend. Our staff have missed our Running Wolves and I know the continued school cancelation has greatly impacted our normal activities. It is our hope is to get right back to work in the classroom for the final week of school before break. We hope that during the snow days students were proactive in completing any missing assignments. We are ready to finish Quarter 2, strong!
Rogers Park Artists Artwork on Display
There is a unique art exhibit at the ASD Education Center. Three students from Rogers Park have artwork in the show. Please congratulate Gauge Rogers in Ms. Bowes 6th grade class, James Thorne in Ms. Haines 5th grade class, and Sofia Skilja in Ms. Flanigan's second grade class. Their work will be seen by hundreds of people this December.

Artsonia--Just in Time for the Holidays!
Mr. McDonald is doing Artsonia again this year. Artsonia is an organization that allows for students to showcase their artwork in an online portfolio. Parents can then view their child's work on Artsonia. Artsonia also serves as a school fundraiser. Artwork can be printed onto many different items and a portion of the proceeds go directly to the school.

Choir Concert—January 27th
Mrs. Lavy is gearing up for our annual choir concert. We will hold a school choir concert January 27th at 2:00 p.m. and an open community concert for families at 6:30 pm. The students have been working hard learning their songs. We hope to see you there. This is definitely an event you do not want to miss!
5th & 6th Grade Recreational Intramural Basketball League
Parents of 5th and 6th graders,
Attached is a permission slip, schedule, and information for our Rogers Park Intramrual Recreational Basketball League. Any interested 5th or 6th grader may participate, regardless of exeprience. If they'd like to play and can commit to the entire 6-week season, I'd love for them to sign up.
Classroom teachers will also be giving students paper copies of the permission slip as soon as students are back in school...
Let Mr. Elbow know if you have any questions.
Ice Rink Update
The Rogers Park rink is getting flooded, and we're handing out ice skates in preparation for another great winter of recess ice skating.
If you (or another adult in your family) are interested in helping tie skates or monitor the rink on Thursdays or Fridays for an hour or two, please use this link to sign up to volunteer. We hope to be able to start skating on December 8, though the rink preparation timeframe is largely out of our hands.
If you'd like to give your child permission to participate, or would like to borrow skates for the winter, please fill out this form.
