In 1669, Dickinson's Landing was found by a French explorer who’s name is, La Salle, as a trading post by the rapids that were called Long Sault.

Optimistic

Some people in the towns were optimistic. They didn't want the power dam to be built and they wanted their homes to stay. They did the best they could, but didn't succeed and eventually the power dam was built.
