Nature Trail + students + tech = new website!
The website for the Sycamore Nature Trail at Symmes (bit.ly/synaturetrail) has actually been up for a month or so but today marks the grand unveiling!
For years now, the 9+ acres of the trail behind Symmes Elementary have been available for all Sycamore students and the greater community to enjoy.
But, since Fall 2016, thanks to a grant from the Ohio EPA as well as parent donations, the students at Symmes have been collecting observational data using 30 tablet computers.
Test-drive our new website to see some of their efforts! There are interactive visualizations, tables, photos, and some environmental-themed games to try.
More will be coming. We hope to use this site to share what Sycamore K-12 students, teachers, parents, and community members have done and are planning to do on the trail.
Tell us what you think. Go to Contact us and share an idea!

Also, did you know that there is a Cincinnati Mensa group? Did you know that it has a student division? Stephanie Bruner, Sycamore parent and coordinator of the Mensa Gifted Youth Program, will share a bit about the program and the enrollment
criteria.
