Monster Mania
This project involved writing and art. Students in 3rd and 4th grade had to visualize a monster and draw a picture of it. Next, the students wrote a detailed description of their own monster. We then switched their writing with another class. Students in our partner class had to draw their partner's monster using the detail in the written description. Once classes were finished, we shared the original version to see what they actually looked like!
The results were interesting and generated lots of discussion!
It was monstrously fun!

Book Snaps
There is a fun new trend in the education world called Book Snaps! We had students in 2nd through 4th create Book Snaps to share what they're reading! In 3rd and 4th grade, students used Buncee, but in 2nd grade, students used SeeSaw to create their own Book Snaps. This is a really fun way for students to share about what they're reading. They can highlight favorite parts of a book, add drawings overtop of a book page, take a picture of the book cover, and even use the microphone tool to tell about why the book is a favorite, or what they found interesting!
We plan on displaying these around the Learning Commons!
