Stars Football Family -

All....most....there...........! The final push to the finish! It is human nature that when we see the finish line, the tendency is to let up and coast. In our program, we always talk about starting fast and finishing strong. We are inevitably remembered for our most recent efforts. This week Stars, I encourage you to complete this semester the way you want to start the second!

As the year comes to a close, I want to thank all of you for making this year special. The banquet was just another reminder of how truly unique this program is. It is a community that cares for each other; at the end of the day, that is all we can ask for. Please enjoy your time together in the coming weeks and allow yourself the latitude to rest and recharge. I will be taking two weeks off from the newsletter. We will return to it the Sunday before returning to school. There will be opportunities for our players to stay connected to each other and our off-season program. I want to stress that all winter break lifts are entirely optional. When we return to action, it will be in an unrelenting quest to become the best. 2023 will be the year of the Stars, but that will not happen in November. Champions are champions before they are champions. That means our actions coming into the new year have to be ELITE. Our choices are limited, especially when the goal is to be the best.

All the best

Coach Pomazak

You can review the events by clicking the powerpoint link. A thank you to Danielle Taormina for organizing the event and making this year one to remember. Her leadership as our 4th phase leader has been second to none! Thank you, Danielle.

ELITE LEADERS

We try to stay connected all year in the St. Charles North Football program. When our winter sports athletes compete for the Stars, those not in season work in the weight room and gyms. It is an excellent opportunity to build relationships away from the football field. Each week culminates with an Elite Leader being named. The best part of the award is that the player from the week prior is the one who names the recipient. It is an extraordinary moment when our players highlight each other. I am excited to see who gets the opportunity to be called an "Elite Leader" this off-season.
