Science
Students will be taking a formative pop quiz grade sometime next week over their VOCAB words that are posted in the ECOSYSTEMS folder on Blackboard. These same vocab words are also written in students' science journals. Because this is a formative grade (10% of one's overall grade) and does not influence too much one's grade, a definite date will not be provided on the "pop" quiz. This grade will be used to track and monitor students' growth and learning from this unit of study.
Adv Math 6th Grade (Block A)
100 minutes of VMath is due Sunday night @ midnight. This will be entered into the gradebook as a FORMATIVE grade (10% of one's overall grade). This will be the first grade of the 2nd 9 weeks.
Students have completed the majority of Chapter 1 this week in-class over writing expressions and number properties. Students have been working from their workbooks. Next week we will have a "pop" quiz (formative grade) to monitor learning after first continuing to practice some each day in-class.
Regular Math BLOCK B
100 minutes of VMath is due Sunday night @ midnight. This will be entered into the gradebook as a FORMATIVE grade (10% of one's overall grade). This will be the first grade of the 2nd 9 weeks.
Students have been working in Chapter 4 Division this week. Today, Friday, students should have turned in their division packets and finished/checked their Chapter 4 StudyGuides in-class. We will practice/review on Monday and then take the test on Tuesday.
Also, there is a sample practice test on Blackboard in the Chapter 4 folder if anyone wants to do something "extra".
