Weekly Staff Bulletin

February 8-12, 2016

Hello Everyone,

On Tuesday, we will have an accreditation team coming to visit Poynter from 12:00-3:30 (roughly). This team will help HSD access whether it is meeting its goals of providing quality education. Many have asked do we receive an award at the end or do we receive a monetary amount. The answer is yes and no. While there is no "award or money" at the end of the process we do receive the benefit of being accredited (if reached) that we are moving forward to provide a meaningful education for all students. But more so it gives us an outside viewpoint of where we are in the work that we do. We will be one of a handful of schools visited during the week. At the conclusion of the visit I will be meeting with the team to hear their thoughts. I will be sharing them with both classified and licensed staff during academic seminars.

Thanks for all your dedication to Poynter and the work that you do individually every day. It truly does take a village.

Have a great week,

Jon and Katie
