Leadership Message
Dear St. Luke Families,
St. Luke, the author of the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles, was born in Syria and trained as a physician. He accompanied St. Paul on his journeys to preach the Gospel travelling to Rome and converting pagans to Christianity. The letter of St Paul to the Colossians refers to St. Luke as a doctor, thus he is considered to be a physician. He is the patron saint of artists, physicians and surgeons.
The Feast Day of St. Luke is on Tuesday October 18th. Please join us at St. Luke at 10:00 on Thursday October 20 for our school mass and blessing to celebrate as a community the Feast day of St. Luke.
Saint Luke, in your gospel, you show us the beauty of holiness. Help us to reflect the image of Christ in the way we live our lives.
Saint Luke, pray for us!
Blessings,
Cathy Hinger
