Calling All Volunteers!
Hi, Whitt Wolf Parents!
On May 1st we plan to say thank you to our paraprofessionals by providing a lunch for them to enjoy. All we need are volunteers to help cover their lunch duty so they can enjoy their lunch! Below is a link if you are interested in helping to monitor our Wolves during lunch that day.
The schedule has 30 minute increments that need to be covered. Feel free to sign up for more than one time slot if you wish!
*Important!* If you plan to eat lunch with your child that day, please select a time to volunteer that is not during your child’s lunch. Our volunteers will be up and monitoring, opening, wiping, etc!
Thank you in advance for helping to honor and say thank you to our paras! We appreciate our amazing parents!
Please email or call Mrs. Power with any questions!
We can't wait to see our talented wolves shine!
Notes from the Nurse
If your child is consistently getting less than the recommended hours of sleep it can lead to irritability, difficulty concentrating, headaches, stomachaches, obesity and even high blood pressure and depression. Children who receive adequate sleep have a healthier immune system, can regulate their emotions easier, are absent less from school and have a better memory and school performance.
Here are a few reminders to help your child receive the sleep they need to help them be happy, healthy and successful:
- Maintain a regular daily routine.
- Make sleep a priority.
- Be active during the day.
- Monitor screen time.
- Avoid over-scheduling your child.
- Create a consistent bedtime routine.
