Welcome Back!

As we begin another amazing school year, I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself. I had a awesome school year and enjoyed getting to know many parents and students. I am looking forward to another successful school year! Here's how to get ahold of me if needed:

Weekend Backpack Program

Please let me know if you have a financial need for weekend food assistance. We have partnered with First Church and Food Finders to be able, with your approval, to send a backpack full of nutritious, kid-friendly food home with your child if there is a financial need every Thursday or Friday during the school year.

College Go Week

Kindergarten- We are going to learn what a community helper is, what are some community helper jobs, and some of their important roles.

1st-3rd- We are going to dive into a couple different careers each day to learn more about what each job does. This will allow our students to start thinking about different jobs they might want to have in the future. On Monday 9/21 students are asked to dress like the career they want to have in the future. Please talk with your child about what kind of jobs might interest them.

What is Bullying?

In September/October, our students are learning that there are four types of Bullying; Physical, Verbal/ Emotional and Cyberbullying. Students learned what the difference between a conflict and bullying is. Conflict is two sided and usually stops once one recognizes they have hurt the other person. Bullying is on-going with intent to hurt, harm or humiliate another. There is usually a power differential, and continues even though one may know they are hurting the other. Students also learned the difference between telling and tattling. If you want to talk to your child further about bullying here's a helpful website https://pacerkidsagainstbullying.org/about-us/
