October Viking Character Trait - RESPECT

October's character trait is RESPECT. Here are some ways that students and teachers can show respect for each other:

  • Follow the Golden Rule
  • Be tolerant and accepting of differences
  • Use good manners, not bad language
  • Be considerate of the feelings of others
  • Don't threaten, hit, or hurt anyone
  • Deal peacefully with anger, insults and disagreements

Mrs. Slaughter will be teaching students about respect in this month's guidance lessons.

A little food for thought regarding our character trait for October:

"Respect your efforts, respect yourself. Self-respect leads to self-discipline. When you have both firmly under your belt, that's real power."

Clint Eastwood

Happy Friday!! Have a great weekend!!

Attendance Counts...

Our average weekly Attendance for this week is by grade:

5th Grade 97.6%

4th Grade 97.4%

Great job, Vikings! Let's see if we can reach 98% next week!

Remember that our school begins at 7:45AM. Students not in their classrooms at 7:45 are tardy. Three tardies = consequence of lunch detention. Additional tardies may result in after school detention. Help make sure your kids are here and learning by 7:45 each day.

Yearbook Committee

We are looking for brave volunteers to help Mrs. Davis create an Intermediate Yearbook. If you are interested in helping in this capacity or have pictures of school events to share, please contact Mrs. Davis at stacie_davis@lagovista.txed.net.
