Interact Club Coat Drive
Hello EHS Community,
The 10th annual EHS Interact Club coat drive was again successful. Interact Club members delivered 359 coats to The Mission Outpost Food Pantry and Clothing Closet in Burnsville. This coat drive was a joint effort by the EHS Community. Thanks go out to students, parents, teachers, EHS staff and all of the EHS Community. The members of the staff at Mission Outpost indicated that clients would go through all of these coats in a matter of weeks. Thanks again.

EHS Blood Drive
Armful of Love
Greetings PAWS Families!
Each year Eagan High School participates in a gift drive to support Armful of Love, a program run through 360 Communities of Dakota County. The drive helps provide gifts for families in need right here in Dakota County. Last year 360 Communities switched to a gift card drive due to Covid-19 safety protocols, and received overwhelming feedback from the families that gift cards were preferred over purchased gifts.
We are asking students to bring in any amount of cash to contribute towards $25 gift cards to Target, Walmart, or Amazon. We will be collecting cash (or gift cards with receipts) Monday, October 25th – Wednesday November 3rd during PAWS. Our goal is to raise one $25 gift card per PAWS. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Freshman Retreat
On Tuesday, December 14, 2021 we invite all 9th grade students to attend the Freshman “Respect” Retreat. The goal of this retreat is to build a unified class, where students will work together to examine the issues of self-respect, respecting others and standing up for the value of respect. This retreat will give students an opportunity to build relationships with students that they may not otherwise meet.
Please register via myPaymentsplus for this retreat: https://ehs.district196.org/families
The cost is $25.00. Students receiving free lunch will automatically receive a scholarship when checking out.
Please contact the Counseling Office with any questions. Thank you!
Weekend Food Program
Every Meal Weekend Food program is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization with a mission to fight child hunger through community and school partnerships. There are no qualification requirements for enrollment and families may enroll in the program at any time throughout the school year. The program is free for all families and your privacy is protected. Families may choose from five options structured around the USDA MyPlate Standards. All bag types contain 4-5 pounds of nutritious, non-perishable food, including a variety of fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains and soups/entrees. Meal bags are discreetly sent home with students weekly and can be picked up in the EHS Counseling Office. See the link below for more information and to order electronically.
Free Student Meals
Students in District 196 will be provided breakfast and lunch at no cost during the 2021-22 school year due to a grant provided by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. All families are still encouraged to complete an Educational Benefits Application, formerly the free and reduced-price meals application. A new application must be submitted each year.
If a student wishes to purchase an a la carte item or a second lunch, they must have money loaded into their meal account or have cash in hand.
