Raleigh Field Trip- This Thursday!
Raleigh Field Trip Reminders
* Students need to be at school at 6:30am. The buses will depart no later than 6:45am. Buses will be unable to wait for anyone who arrives after 6:40am.
* We will unload on Jones Street between the History and Science Museums across from the Legislative Building. Each class will have their own agenda. Make sure to check with your child’s teacher for your specific times and destination.
* Students will be put in small groups and will be with at least one adult chaperone at all times.
* All sites expect the following rules to be followed by everyone:
-Be quiet, orderly, and respectful at all times.
-Chaperones must remain with their group at all times, including gift shops.
-No food or drinks allowed in buildings.
-Do not touch displays.
Things to Bring:
Since we will be walking several blocks, please have your child wear comfortable shoes and clothing (no flip-flops!). Dress for the weather. If it rains, we will still go.
We will be providing a snack on the way up and the way back. You may bring extra snacks if you would like.
Students may bring extra money for the museum gift shop. Books, cameras, handheld games, and music players with headphones will be permitted. All items must remain on the bus, except for cameras. It is the sole responsibility of the student to keep up with any of these items. We are not responsible for any lost items.
* I will need a WRITTEN NOTE if your child is not riding back to school on the bus from Raleigh, even if he/she will be riding home with you. Also, if your child will be picked up by another person at 4:30, remember to send me a note. According to county policy, your child must remain with the group until 2:30.
* We should return to the school between 5:30-5:45 depending on traffic coming from Raleigh. The school will be called in the event that we are delayed.
