Joan of Arc: Joan sought aid from the military commander of a nearby town. At first he acknowledge her as foolish, but she later persuaded him to help her. He gave her some soldiers for protection and sent her to Chinon, where the dauphin was staying. Charles agreed to let her lead his troops to Orléans, a city that the English were trying to capture. During the battle Joan was wounded, but she refused to leave the field. Her soldiers were impressed by her courage, and fought with great spirit. The English, believing that Joan was a witch, fled in fear.King John: He accepted the document known Magna Carta. It agreed to not collect taxes from the nobles without their consent.
