Below is the Before and After School weekly schedule for Magnet tutorials, office hours, clubs, and teams. It is designed as an overview to help you get involved and find support at Magnet.

Extended Tutorial will be offered on Tuesdays each week this semester. Students can stay after school for ANY teacher's office hours, clubs, and/or teams and then report to the extended tutorial. Students must be picked up by 6pm on extended tutorial days. This allows families a later window for transportation while allowing students access to extracurriculars and office hours.

Dr. Garner and Ms. Seagraves will be hosting this week's extended tutorial. Keep in mind that even if the teacher/subject you need is not listed, any of the adults can help you make a tutor.com appointment or give you general direction on making the most of your study time.

Fund dues have been set to $220 per student for all grade levels. For families, each additional student is $120. The Rockdale Magnet Fund is the 501c3 Academic Booster Club that supports all students at RMSST. Learn more at this link.

Is there a teacher or staff member you want to thank or compliment for a great start to the school year? Please use this form to share a shout-out message about the good things you see happening at Magnet. We will share the positive shout-out messages at future staff meetings.

Magnet Families- Please use the school year's calendar as you plan. It is key that students are at school every day that they are well. Research shows that attendance in class is a key predictor for success.

All students took the STAR test for both Reading and Mathematics by August 18th. Our school uses this test to monitor student growth and achievement. Your student's scores are now available through Infinite Campus under the more tab and selecting SLDS. We have detailed video instructions posted on our website to help you with this process and the opportunity to request a more detailed report to help support your student's growth this school year. This report summarizes your child's scores on the assessment and shares areas where they are ready for more practice. As with any assessment, many factors can affect your student's scores. It is important to understand that these scores provide only one picture of how your student is doing in school.
