Diplomat ROAR
December 1, 2022
A Note from the Principal
Wildcats,
I am so proud of you. This year started off very well and then Hurricane Ian made an appearance in our lives and jumbled up our school year. Because of the damage to our buildings, we could not return to Diplomat as soon as most other students were able to return to their schools. BUT…..you persevered. You began taking classes through Florida Virtual School from home and even for several days after coming back into the building.
You have done everything expected of you, even though the expectations were high and, at times, felt unfair. As we work through these fifteen school days of December, before break, I hope that you will keep your dedicated and determined focus on your school work. Finish strong this semester.
When we see each other again, after the 21st, it will be a new year and a new semester. Take advantage of this holiday season and show those around you that you care about them and that they are special in your eyes.
Proud to be in the Pride,
Maura Bennington, Principal
Holiday Break No school for students December 22, 2022 through January 9, 2023. Students return to school on January 10, 2023. This will begin Quarter 3, Semester 2. | No School for Students In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr Day on January 16, 2023, there will be no school for students. |

We will continue to work with all grade levels but especially our 8th graders in encouraging their academic success. We are putting together small groups for different needs such as: social skills, self esteem and choice making.
