Please make sure your child comes to school with their swim suit, towel, bag to put wet belongings into and flip flops or sandals for the locker room and by the pool (if desired). If you have a daughter in the Badger Burrow, please remind them that their swimming suits must cover their mid-section, so they must either wear a one-piece suit, a tankini (two piece with a long top) or a t-shirt. Due to our clothing/swimming policies, no bikini swim suits that show the mid-section are allowed.
If you would like to come and watch, we will be in the Lineville Pool from 12-2pm. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know!

SEESAW - CONNECT WITH YOUR CHILDS EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE AT LINEVILLE
Dear Parents,
This year we're going to use a new tool to share what we're learning in class called Seesaw. Your child will have his or her own learning journal, and you can get notified when your child adds new items. It's completely private -- only you can see your child's journal outside of class.
Click on https://app.seesaw.me/s/890-934-389 to sign up -- it takes just 30 seconds.
Once you sign up, you can download the Seesaw Parent app for iPhone or Android, or access your child's journal on the web.
Thanks!
P.S. If you have more than one child using Seesaw, or want to add a new class/school year for your child, follow the link in this email, then click 'Sign in' tab at the top. You do not need to create a new account.

Classroom Catch Up
- In Mrs. Tennie's math, we are coming to an end to our first unit on fractions. We will be reviewing this week and finishing up our testing early next week. In our next unit, we will be diving into adding and subtracting decimals. Also, this month Moby Max Fact Fluency Subtraction is due Monday, November 21st. Students are aware of this date and assignment. If at any time, you have any questions regarding math, please do not hesitate to contact me!
- Students have also been working on Haunted House Fractions, these are due on Friday this week. Be sure to ask your child to see them, so many of them are turning out GREAT!
Science:
- In Science, we are spending our first semester exploring different types of ecosystems, human impact upon the environmental and the importance of the water cycle. Students finished their first quick quiz this week. They will be bringing this home to show you (they earn extra blue tickets by showing and going over their quiz with you). Overall, I am so impressed on how well students are doing! We truly have a group of scientists in Badger Burrow!
Language Arts:
- We are wrapping up our writing unit on a personal narrative. They have done such a great job with their writing and have come really far as authors. I'm looking forward to reading all their stories. Students are midway through their first Book Discussion Groups. We will begin our next reading unit just before Thanksgiving break and will be doing more guided reading groups on a regular basis. I'm proud to see the progress students are showing and look forward to seeing their growth over the next quarter.
Social Studies:
- This month we are just jumping into our next unit of Colonization. We are excited for the different simulations and active learning students will be taking part in during this unit!
