ELEMENTARY THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION
The elementary Thanksgiving Day celebration will be Friday, November 16th. Our intent is to provide the educational foundation for this holiday so that our students better understand the people involved and the importance of that early celebration. For those of you who are familiar with this annual event, the day’s activities will be similar to the past, but be more intentional on providing educational background. At 11:15 students will share a meal together, and then hear from persons who will share Native American traditions as well as Pilgrim perspectives. They will also have a craft time and hayride. We trust that it will be a special day in many ways. Students also may choose to dress in Native American or Pilgrim dress. We encourage you to keep this simple, and no weapons or face paint are permitted. Students may also choose to dress down that day.
GRANDPARENTS’ DAY “THANK YOU”
Elementary students had a wonderful day with their grandparents on October 12th. Our sincere thanks to everyone who volunteered their time or who donated baked goods! If you are missing a Tupperware pie container or a glass plate, please check in at the main office.
