Thanks for Keeping us Afloat
We can't thank our tremendous staff enough for keeping us afloat (and more). On Monday we treated them to a Root Beer Float as a token of thanks from the admin team.
Book Characters Galore
We had such fun on Book Character Dress-up Day. Pictured here is a group of 7th grade teachers dressed as idioms -- "The bees knees, blind as a bat, not my 1st rodeo, etc."
RCMS in Professional Development
Mr. Tucker, Ms. Simmons, Ms. Evans, Ms. Shepherd, and Ms. Mizell all represented Ridgeview proudly at Tuesday's district-wide sessions focused on celebrating best practices.
We love our students, but no, you can't come to school if...
Working together we can continue keeping our students and staff healthy. Please know when it's not okay for your student to come to school:
- If your child has taken a covid-19 test, and you're still waiting on results: it's not ok.
- If your child has taken a covid-19 test, and you've received a negative result: it's not ok until you've reported the test and the result, receiving clearance from the portal and school administration.
- If your child has tested positive for covid-19: it's not ok.
- If your child has been in direct contact (6 ft., longer than 15 min) with a positive covid-19 individual: it's not ok.
- Each of these above is reportable to school administration and https://www.fultonschools.org/ReportCOVID.
- If your child is demonstrating symptoms of covid (cough, runny nose, fever, body aches, headache, fatigue) that are not attributable to another health condition (such as allergies, asthma, immune disorders, etc.): it's not ok.
We ask that you always and every time be overly cautious rather than taking a risk.
Parent University Class 11/12: I'm Ready with iReady
Backpacks Allowed if Needed Beginning Nov. 2nd
We encourage students to carry their tech string bag, binder, and water bottle. We know it hasn't been easy to carry all the school essentials, and coats will make it harder. If needed, beginning Monday backpacks are permitted. We will not be offering lockers at this time.
Physicals Due Monday for Intramural Basketball League
Dismissal Reminders
Thanks for continuing to assist us in making dismissal as safe and fast as possible. Here are a few reminders:
- The front office is unable to dismiss or give messages to students after 3:30.
- Carpoolers must have a QR code. Contact WheatC@fultonschools.org for assistance.
- Walkers or Bike Riders must have a laminated pass. Contact PriceM@fultonschools.org for the permission form so we can create a pass.
- Buses are cleaned between each run and are fogged with disinfectant nightly.
Notification of Screening & Referral Process for Gifted Students
Annually each school notifies parents of the process for screening and referral for Gifted Students. This is commonly known as "TAG" -- Talented and Gifted. We invite you to learn about this process by clicking below. If you have questions, please reach out to Mrs. Stephanie Soriano, TAG department chair, at SorianoS@fultonschools.org.
