HMS Wrestling- HMS wrestling season has completed. Thank you to Coach Flake and Coach Vick for your work with our wrestlers.
HMS Cheer- The HMS cheer team was on hand for the basketball games against Clifton Ridge and Upson Lee and performed very well. The girls continue to work hard daily on the court and in the school. Go Tigers!
HMS Baseball- HMS baseball tryouts have concluded and the Tigers have begun practicing. The weather has obviously made it a challenge for our baseball team but they have been able to go inside and get some work done. The team had a parent meeting at HMS on 11/18 and the first game is scheduled for 02/06 @ Lamar County. The HMS team has three 8th graders, eight 7th graders and eight 6th graders. HMS has seven 8th graders that will be playing on the JV team at the high school.
HMS Soccer- HMS soccer teams began practicing this week also in the frigid temperatures. The teams are working hard and the first scheduled match will be on 02/05 @ Upson Lee beginning at 5 pm.
HMS Volleyball- HMS Volleyball- Sorry for the misinformation last week! Tryouts for HMS Volleyball will be 02/05-02/07 from 3:30-5:30 in the HMS gym. In order to be eligible to try out the girls must have a current physical on file and BCSS consent paperwork completed and turned in to Coach Hall. Students must have passed 5 out of 6 classes for the 1st semester. For girls that make the team there will be a Player/Parent Meeting on 02/08 in the HMS cafeteria @ 6 pm.
HMS Track- The HMS track teams began practicing at the Butts County Athletic Complex on 01/18. The coaches held a parent meeting at Jackson High School on 01/18 @ 6 pm. The first meet is scheduled at home on 02/29 beginning at 4 pm alongside Jackson High School.
