5 Common Interview Questions and Tips
When answering these questions during an interview, it is okay to think for a couple seconds. Research some other questions and be prepared to answer them by practicing in a mirror at home before the interview.
- Tell me about yourself? - use 5 description words, don't tell your whole life story, highlight your strengths with specific details from the past
- Why should we hire you? - think of the company and what they are looking for, tell them why they should and give them examples of you doing something
- What is your greatest strength? - be specific, explain with a lot of detail
- What is your greatest weakness? - be honest, don't mention the weakness if it might keep you from getting the job, show them you are trying to conquer the weakness
- What is your greatest accomplishment? - think about this one and then answer with a specific answer that explains why it really was your greatest accomplishment
After the Interview
- Give them another handshake and thank them for the interview
- Ask them if they know when a decision is going to be made
- If you haven't already, talk about the job payment wages
- Send them a thank you letter or email just for the chance for an interview (This may get you the job)
- If they haven't contacted you in a while, call them and ask them if a decision has been made
