Important Dates!
Dear FamiLEE,
I am so very thankful for all my learners! They have been so wonderful, caring and just so sweet as I struggled with laryngitis this past week. They have been working so hard and even filling in for me by dictating spelling words, reading Amal Unbound and they've been so respectful to one another. I am truly blessed and lucky to a part of their lives. Celebrating Diwali with a wonderful PTO sponsored luncheon and treats from a learner just gave me feel truly grateful for being a part of this wonderful FamiLEE! We really are Lucky at Lee! I wish you all a very wonderful week off next week to spend with friends and family.
Love and hugs,
Ms. May Voltz

What are we learning next week?
We're beginning our study of fraction operations and deepen our understanding of fractions through modeling with pattern blocks, fraction circles and bars, cubes, legos, number lines, and lots of Fraction Talks and even Music! Can't wait to get started on Monday!
ELAR:
Sadly we will be finishing our global read aloud. We have so enjoyed reading Amal Unbound and have learned so much about the culture of Pakistan along the way. Can't wait to hear what happens! The learners are on the edge of their seats! #Engaged!
Social Studies:
Learners are beginning their study of US Government. We'll work together to learn about branches of the government and their roles and responsibilities.
Science:
We're excited about our mini challenge as we investigate parallel and series circuits. I'm quite impressed with the progress they've made this week already. Learners are implementing the Claim, Evidence and Reasoning process to solve problems using creating models, online simulations such as Gizmos, and research about circuits to justify their claims.
