Dear Parents and Carers,

It seems incredible that it is half term already?

We have had another wonderful week of learning and fun at our school. There has been loads of smiles, laughter and learning and our assembly on Friday seemed to go on for a very long time!

We began the week with many classes trying their very best with their writing and completing their writing assessments. There are some amazing writers here at Balladen School. I had the pleasure of looking through all of Year 2's writing books on Tuesday after school. The children in Year 2 are progressing really well with their writing and their retelling of the story of 'The Three Little Pigs' were truly stunning.

On Tuesday we has some new children visit our school and they will be joining us after the holidays. We will then have 210 children at our school which is fantastic! We also had some children participating in the Table Tennis Competition and they did very well! Itb was Zumba after school...and we all know who won the prize!

On Wednesday as well as all of the learning taking place we participated in cheerleading and a cricket final at Fearns. Please do check in on the sport twitter page which can be found by clicking here and have a look at all of the photos and news that can be found there.

On Thursday at school there was hockey coaching, swimming and another table tennis competition and on Friday we ended our week with our Celebration of Learning assembly and Year 1 going out on an educational visit with Mr. Grime.

Thank you everyone for another superb week of learning and fun at Balladen.

Have a wonderful and safe half term holiday.

I look forward to seeing all of those Monday smiles on Monday 20th February!

With respect,

Mr Neil Ringrose
