GHS Wins Academic UIL Meet!
GHS Wins Aubrey UIL Invitational!
This past weekend, the GHS UIL Academic, Speech and Debate teams participated in the Annual Aubrey America UIL Invitational Tournament at Aubrey HS, beginning our 4 month journey to the District Spring Meet. 35 GHS students showed their Leopard Pride bringing home more than 30 medals and awards.
GHS placed 1st in the overall sweepstakes competition, with the most points based on all placings for all contests including Academics, Speech and Debate. GHS also placed 1st in the academic sweepstakes competition, with the most points overall based on placings for academic events. The Journalism team also placed 1st overall, with the most points based on placings in all Journalism and Ready Writing contests. A full list of placings is provided below.

GJHS Spelling Bee
Congratulations to our Spelling Bee winner for GJHS, Jonathan Dyke. The top 3 will compete at the District Bee in January.

Chalmers Spelling Bee Champs
4th Grade Spelling Bee Contestants
To be eligible to compete in the campus bee, each student won their individual classroom spelling bee.
The 4th grade winners are:
1st place: Davis Pouncil
2nd place: Jackson Otts
3rd place:Hayden Nichols
Davis, Jackson, and Hayden will advance to the District Bee in January.
Other participants in the 4th grade Spelling Bee were: Jeremiah Valedares, Melany Torres, Chris Gardner, Brandon Macias, Natalie Grooms, Aarush Kumar, and Xander Stradley
3rd Grade Spelling Bee Contestants
The 3rd grade winners are:
1st place: Jeremiah Gonzalez
2nd place: Kimberly Anderson
3rd place: William Drew
Jeremiah, Kimberly, and William will advance to the District Bee in January.

Our 1st graders took their singing skills on the road this week! Every first grade class was allowed to bring some Christmas Cheer by singing Christmas Carols!
